User Manager Help

  1. Log in to the back end of your website
  2. Click on the User Manager button (one of the big icons)
  3. Click on "New"
  4. Insert the correct details, including email address
  5. Make a note of the username and password
  6. Choose the level of access that you'd like the user to have. Please note: If you make a user an administrator they can edit your website. A Super administrator can do that as well as delete your access.
  7. Click on Save
  8. Log out (top right corner)
  9. Log in under the new user account to test it

In Joomla 1.5 you can also access the User Manager from the Site menu.

  1. Log in to the back end of your website
  2. Click on the User Manager button (one of the big icons)
  3. Click on the name of the person that you want to change
  4. Put in the new password
  5. Press "Save"

Follow the procedure for creating a new user account, and select "Registered" as the level of access.
