User Manager Help
- Log in to the back end of your website
- Click on the User Manager button (one of the big icons)
- Click on "New"
- Insert the correct details, including email address
- Make a note of the username and password
- Choose the level of access that you'd like the user to have. Please note: If you make a user an administrator they can edit your website. A Super administrator can do that as well as delete your access.
- Click on Save
- Log out (top right corner)
- Log in under the new user account to test it
In Joomla 1.5 you can also access the User Manager from the Site menu.
- Log in to the back end of your website
- Click on the User Manager button (one of the big icons)
- Click on the name of the person that you want to change
- Put in the new password
- Press "Save"
Follow the procedure for creating a new user account, and select "Registered" as the level of access.
