Windows Mail

To set up your email address to work in Windows Mail:

  1. Tools > Accounts
  2. Add > Email Account
  3. Insert the following information:
  • Your name: as you’d like it to be seen by others eg “Mary Smith”
  • Internet email address: Insert your full email address eg This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Incoming e-mail server type: POP 3
  • Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) Server: Your incoming mail server as emailed to you (it is "mail" in place of the "www" in your website address, for example "mail.butterflyinternet.com.au")
  • Outgoing mail server: as per your internet service provider (the company that provides your internet connection, such as Telstra) Help to identify your outgoing mail server
  • Email username: is your entire email address eg This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Password as emailed to you
