Liz McLean
Director of Operations
As Butterfly’s Account Director, Liz is in charge of the client experience. Liz completed a B.A. in Media and Information at Curtin University in Western Australia. After graduating, she worked in digital media in London as an account manager for clients such as 20th Century Fox, BBC Worldwide and Optimum Releasing. After relocating to Melbourne, Liz joined the butterflies in their mission to make the web a little bit prettier, brighter and easier to manage for everyone. Liz’s first website was for her band at age 11, with the main star being herself (of course).
Will Wheatley
CTO
Will is Butterfly’s resident expert at wrangling the newest technologies into human-friendly tools, such as cloud computing, software as a service, mobile and web applications. Will studied Systems Engineering and Physics at RMIT before embarking on an extensive career in IT. When he’s not designing computational clusters for a “secret” government organisation, system engineering for a multinational manufacturer achieving a 99.999% uptime) and software architecture and development, he’s roaming the hills on his motorbike or hiking. Will believes technology doesn’t have to be just for uber nerds, and aims to make everything he builds simple without being simplistic.
