Apple iPhone 4
These instructions have been designed for and tested on an Apple iPhone 4 - running iOS version 5.0.1
- Tap Settings
- Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Tap Add Account...
- Tap Other
- Tap Add Mail Account
- Enter your Name, Email Address, Password, and an Account Description and then Tap Next
Apple Mail will try to retrieve your account settings from your email address entered...
You are now required to select what sort of email server you have - POP3 or IMAP
IMAP
You can now use your mail account for sending and receiving email on your iPhone!
POP3
- Enter Hostname, Username & Password of your Incoming Mail Server
- Hostname Hint: This will be you domain name with the word mail appended to the start.
Eg. mail.mydomain.com - Username Hint: Use your full email address.
Eg. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
- Hostname Hint: This will be you domain name with the word mail appended to the start.
- Enter Hostname, Username & Password of your Outgoing Mail Server
- Hostname Hint: This will be you domain name with the word mail appended to the start.
Eg. mail.mydomain.com - Username Hint: Use your full email address.

- Hostname Hint: This will be you domain name with the word mail appended to the start.
- Tap Next and wait while the account settings are Verified.
- If successful, you will now be able to select which items to view - Mail and/or Notes.
We recommend just to select Mail

- Click Save and wait while the account is added.
You can now use your mail account for sending and receiving email on your iPhone!
