Project Overview
Slumber Bub is a complete online program created to assist parents with babies that won’t sleep.
For the first time ever, sleep deprived parents have access to a practical, online alternative to attending baby sleep schools, or reading a lengthy book. Paediatricians have praised the Slumber Bub program as well as maternity nurses and parents who have had great success in getting their babies into safe and healthy sleep routines.
Our goal was to deliver the program in a beautiful and effective manner, to encourage sales and create a fantastic user experience for the customer.
Technology & Design
The home page sets the mood and feel of the site, using the branding colours in combination with a suite of bold, bright tones. The background pattern darkens from bright sky blue with a cloud pattern, to a dark blue moon and stars motif, thematically going from day into a restful night of happily sleeping babies (and Mums and Dads!).
The design is big, bold and informational, with all the key information stacked in large modules, leading the user down the page with no distracting left or right hand content. Buttons and layout throughout is large and tactile for a child-like feel.
The “How it Works” page was designed to break down the information into sections and stand out by incorporating large eye-catching images.
To give the user a personalised theme for their member profile, the logged in area uses a blue template for boys and pink for girls and also allows them to upload the baby’s profile photo.
Membership primarily gives you access to videos and resources such as a daily planner and printable diary, secondly the Slumber Bub secrets and general information on how to use your membership, providing feedback and testimonials.
The site has a fully automated subscription system, with payments processed using Camtech gateway. Once received, the user logs straight on and can view all the resources available, which are helpfully categorised for them according to their baby’s age.
Butterfly suggested using Vimeo as a video hosting platform to allow the content to be restricted to the domain logged in users, as well as providing a very cost effective platform and stylish screen style.
Project Conclusion
Slumber Bub is a unique portfolio piece for Butterfly in that we designed and developed the members’ area from scratch and it shows how well we can tailor our designs for individual businesses.
